Maple Ginger Beef

20 minutes

4- 6 servings

1 lb thinly sliced sirloin steak

3 tablespoons corn starch

1 tablespoon canola oil

½ cup beef broth

¼ cup low sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

¼ cup pure maple syrup

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 tablespoon fresh ginger

Red pepper flakes to preference

 

  1. Heat a large skillet to high, add steak, 2 tablespoons of corn starch and simmer. After 3 minutes, add oil.
  2. Cook steak until brown on both sides. Stir occasionally.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine broth, soy sauce, syrup, garlic, ginger, 1 tbsp. corn starch, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Add mixture to skillet and cook with steak for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve over fresh rice or noodles.

 

 

Pork Ginger Pot Stickers

25 minutes

Yields 40 pot stickers

1 pound ground pork

1 cup shredded green cabbage

3 ounces’ shiitake mushrooms, diced

1 carrot, peeled and shredded

2 cloves pressed garlic

1 thinly sliced green onion

2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger

2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

40 wonton wrappers

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

 

  1. Combine pork, cabbage, mushrooms, garlic, onions, ginger, soy, sesame oil, rice vinegar, carrots, and white pepper.
  2. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the mixture inside each wonton wrapper. With a drop of water on your finger, fold the edges of the wrapper to create a half moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal the pot stickers.
  3. In a large skillet, bring oil to medium heat. Add pot stickers one by one, cooking in a single layer until golden and crisp on each side. Each pot sticker should take around 3 minutes to cook.
  4. Serve this Michelin Star recipe hot and with soy sauce.

 

 

 

 

 

Spicy Pineapple Fried Rice

30 minutes

4-5 servings

3 bags of Jasmine Rice

3/4-pound boneless skinless chicken breast cut into bite size pieces

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped carrots

1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper

1/2 cup frozen peas

1 Jalapeno finely chopped

1 cup diced fresh pineapple

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

salt and pepper to taste

  1. Cook jasmine rice.
  2. Heat 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil in large skillet. Sauté chicken for 5 minutes, or until browned – season with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove chicken and use remainder of oil on medium high heat. Add onion and carrots. Cook until softened, then add bell peppers, pineapple, and jalapeno.
  4. Add rice to skillet, along with chicken and peas.
  5. Stir in sesame oil and soy sauce and combine all flavors.
